Figen Demir worked as a copywriter for international ad agencies for a decade.
When office life started to hurt both her spine and her soul; she met with the world of Shiatsu and massage therapy. And when she realized her body and life is healing day by day she made a lasting decision: First, she learned the ins and outs of Deep Tissue Massage and Trigger Point Therapy from Tatjana Rottenberg. Then, she quit her job and traveled to Japan, the birthplace of Shiatsu. She worked one on one with Kimura Sensei, a well-respected Shiatsu master, and attended Japan Shiatsu College. Figen continues to work with the renowned Klaus Metzener, co-founder of Shiatsu Institute (ESI) in her never ending quest to learn.
